ISA’s mission is to support, educate, celebrate, and encourage the growth of local retail in Oklahoma by providing a platform for independent shopkeepers to network, support one another, and maximize their individual contributions to our unique local culture. ISA believes that our community is stronger and our culture richer when local independent retail thrives. Our goal is to provide independent shopkeepers with the tools needed to achieve success. through education and networking.

Empowerment: ISA believes that independent shopkeepers are an integral part of Oklahoma’s unique culture and ISA will strive to empower the independent shopkeepers through the organization’s programming.

Community: ISA is passionate about the communities in which Oklahoma’s independent shopkeepers exist and ISA aspires to be an agent of growth and change in these communities.

Education: ISA believes that continued education is crucial to the growth of Oklahoma’s independent shopkeepers as well as to the retail environments in which they exist. ISA aims to provide regular educational opportunities for our members and to the greater community at large.

Unity: ISA believes that strength comes in numbers. Our goal is to be the platform for independent shopkeepers and community members to unite and join forces to jointly achieve advances greater than what is individually possible.

Cléo Nash | Executive Director | HELLO@ISAOK.ORG

Cléo helped launch ISA in 2020 and brings 15 years of experience supporting small businesses. She works closely with Oklahoma shop owners to turn on-the-ground insights into research and policy advocacy and has supported local retailers since 2013 through programs like Holiday Pop-Up Shops, generating $7M+ in sales. She previously spent five years with the City of Oklahoma City’s Public Information Office, building expertise in PR, community engagement and local government.

Originally from France, she moved to the U.S. at 17 to study product development, later earning a degree in Public Relations and Journalism in Oklahoma. She lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, stepdaughter and dog, and enjoys traveling and exploring local shops.

Micah leads educational programming, community engagement and marketing initiatives that support Oklahoma’s independent retailers.

She holds a BA in Communication & Performance Studies from East Central University and moved to OKC in 2018 after working with the Chickasaw Nation Theater Company and Dance Studio. Her background includes corporate retail leadership and small business ownership, including running a micro bookstore.

At ISA, she helps execute Pop-Up Markets and Holiday Pop-Up Shops. She lives in Oklahoma City with her fiancé and dog, and enjoys connecting with people and exploring new places.
