Take an intro to metalsmithing and jewelry making class, a gem jewelry workshop or lapidary class this month at Cheyenne Sky Studio in Midtown, Oklahoma City.

Author Mitali Perkins will be in Oklahoma City and wants to host a Mother/Daughter tea party at Commonplace Books! Mitali's newest book, The Golden Necklace: A Darjeeling Tea Mystery, is perfect for readers in grades 2-5, ages 7-10.
Families in attendance will receive a copy of the book to be discussed November 16th, with Jen Sonntag (assistant principal at The Academy) leading the discussion!

Our celebration of this favorite bookish movie is back by popular demand! On Saturday September 27th, you'll find the store filled with all the reminiscent surprises you found last year on You've Got Mail day, plus more! Bring your kiddos for Storytime at 10am and let the professional face painter give them swirls and sparkles or maybe stripes and whiskers to show off all day. (Artist will be painting faces 10am - noon). Plan to support Curbside Flowers with your daisy purchases again, and sit down to our typewriter for some old fashioned writing time. We’ll focus on achieving smooth, flowing letter transitions and dive deep into styling techniques like bounce lettering and flourishing.
A brush pen & dip pen will be provided to explore both calligraphy tools. The take-home supply kit will also include tracing paper and a traceable workbook.
